Housing and Planning Key Facts
13 May 2011: Department of Communities snapshot of the main housing and planning data – includes updated data (national – not regional) for energy efficiency ratings of homes, percentage of homes with loft insulation and percentage of homes with central heating.
Low Carbon Generators
4 May 2011: Details of low carbon energy generators located at fire stations in London operated by the London Fire Brigade (London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority). The data provides the location of the fire stations (including post code, grid reference and latitude/longitude) and the type of generators at those premises including photovoltaic (PV) array, combined heat and power (CHP), wind turbines (WT) and solar thermal panels (STU).

Major release of Display Energy Certificate (DEC) data
2 March 2011: The Centre for Sustainable Energy has put DEC data for 40,000 buildings- obtained from CLG – and placed in the public domain for the first time.
English Housing Survey: Headline Report 2009-10
24 February 2011: Key indicators on energy performance in housing detailed in this latest update published by CLG. Posted alongside the report is a spreadsheet (English Housing Survey Headline Report 2009-10: Housing Stock Tables) providing a series of tables and figures on a number of very useful energy efficiency indicators. However – no regional breakdown of these results are provided.
Code for Sustainable Homes and SAP ratings
22 February 2011: CLG statistical release on the number of CSH post construction stage certificates and design stage certificates issued up to and including December 2010. Includes a regional breakdown which highlights that most certificates awarded were in London, and also that London scored the highest SAP rating of dwellings built. The CLG report and spreadsheets of data sets are available here.
