FIT Update
13 May 2011: DECC Feed in Tariff capacity – monthly update
Low Carbon Generators
4 May 2011: Details of low carbon energy generators located at fire stations in London operated by the London Fire Brigade (London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority). The data provides the location of the fire stations (including post code, grid reference and latitude/longitude) and the type of generators at those premises including photovoltaic (PV) array, combined heat and power (CHP), wind turbines (WT) and solar thermal panels (STU).
Low Carbon Energy Opportunities and Heat Mapping for Local Planning Areas Across the East Midlands
April 2011: East Midlands Councils (EMC) commissioned work to review the potential for low carbon energy within the East Midlands. The aim was to prepare a comprehensive evidence base that would allow local planning authorities across the region to develop well-founded policies that support low carbon energy deployment up to 2030. Detailed renewable energy information for the regions and heat maps here.
London 2012 Sustainability Report: A blueprint for change
20 April 2011: London 2012 has issued its first full sustainability report, covering the whole London 2012 programme for the calendar year 2010.
FIT installation data
1 April 2011: Ofgem have just issued their second quarterly report (see 1 February 2011 newsstory in relation to the first release) on the installation of Feed in Tariff (FIT) accredited generators. Since the last report, a further 10,000 installations have been added – bringing the total number of sites data is reported on to 30,000 installations. Download the ‘Feed-in Tariff Installation Report on Ofgem’s FIT webpage.
Using Ofgem’s data AEA Technology have set up a website allowing aggregate FIT installation data to be identified by region and borough and technologies employed. For more detail go to the AEA Microgeneration Index.
